Fishing pre dates his earliest childhood memories. Both his mother and father were very much into fishing long before he was born.
At 9 yes old he had a seining net and 2 fish traps and made money selling live bait to fishermen.
At 17 he worked as a full time Mate on a 125’ Party Boat.
At 18 he took his first trip 80 miles
offshore chasing Tuna. And that’s when
he got the bug.
He has been very fortunate to have been able to fish with the best of the best! From the late great Tread Barta, to several of the cast on the TV series Wicked Tuna and so many other great captains.
In 2005 he became a US coast guard licensed captain. Now his goal is to take what he has learned over a lifetime, and share it along with his love of the Sea.
